The project’s outcomes will be demonstrated on pilot scenarios across six African member states (Cameroon, Uganda, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Kenya, Nigeria). ICIPE, a global leader in entomology, conducts the Edible insect farming pilot in Kenya. The pilot will be conducted in Nairobi, Kenya.

According to the experimental needs, to monitor and record the environmental conditions in a banana cultivation, a SynField smart agriculture system was installed in the first trial, P.KEN.1, located in Nairobi. The installation includes a SynField X3 head node and a meteorological station.
